While others may test an ATE ballistic helmet with one or two rounds, a single Atomic Defense FAST Combat Helmet is tested to withstand 19 rounds from various caliber weapons, including two 44 Magnum shots. Lighter rounds like copper-tip 22-caliber and 9mm hollow-point bullets barely scratch the surface.

How is this helmet different from the competition?
This ATE helmet offers IIIA+, aka 3A+ protection. This means that it meets and exceeds the standards you will find on many other helmets. Our helmets are capable of taking multiple strikes, stabbings, shrapnel, etc. Some unique features include; highly adjustable interior padding, rigid exterior, smooth coat interior all-weather paint, NVG mount, 4-way rail system, extra padding that’s Velcro adjustable, bungees, leather chin strap, and ratcheting head-capture system to fit almost any head size and shape.
What attachments will this helmet take AND where can I get the ones that are pictured?
We didn’t want to force customers into some proprietary or non-standard system. So we use the standard rail system and configurations for all our mounts/rails. Standard multi-NVG mount and standard rail system just to name two. This lets you fit all those combat helmet attachments you already have, plus all the after-market ones you might need in the field. We are flexible. Please note that should the helmet show any signs of wear on a return, we cannot offer refunds for customer safety. The helmet has excellent build quality and good weight. With the bullet proof visor shield, it’s a little heavy but it’s to be expected in order to stop projectiles.. Being in law-enforcement for 24 years, I approve of this helmet.

I like to collect military helmets. this is my first modern bulletproof helmet. I fits perfectly. All the added pads help for making it just right and the rail system is very strong. I also appreciate the free gifts that came with my helmet.

The brain protector is really nice it feels heavy but once you put it on and run around for a while you know it’s thier but it’s not a burden cause I had to buy another one

I love this helmet! Since I haven’t taken any hard hits to the head yet, I can’t speak for that particular performance. That said, it arrived quickly, was easy to size, and after about 6-8 hours of ruck marches the interior padding seems well adjusted to my head.
I ordered this helmet 5 days ago, and it arrived today. It was quick and easy to properly size, in great shape, and I’m looking forward to its future uses… starting with a ruck March in the morning. The straps are fantastic, and an old Army buddy of mine is ordering one tomorrow after seeing how easy it was to size. I have a little head so the extra pad inserts helped a lot! Going with a ballistic helmet added some weight, but it’s worth it in my opinion.

Well I haven’t been hit in the head yet with it on, thankfully. Fits good the only issue is the clasp has jammed a few times u have to pay attention when snapping it together.

They had to get ridiculous to finally compromise the inside of it. This helmet would more than likely save your life. You would have a horrible headache, but at least you’d be alive.

My experience with Atomic Defense has been great. They are responsive to questions and feedback, and their products come as advertised. My FAST style helmet came with everything needed to get started, and if the padding weren’t so difficult to adjust to my dome, it would be perfect. All the accessories I’ve purchased to run on FAST style helmets work without issue; compatibility and standard are not a concern.

I ordered this helmet with an open mind on the size, seeing as it only says S/M/L for one size. Well it couldn’t fit any better! The pads are comfortable and the harness adjusts to your exact fit. I am extremely pleased with this product and company!

It hasn’t taken a round but the fit is good. Have a 7 1/4 head and have to remove all the black padding. But Holy cow way better feel then the migrane starter issue units with the webbing.

I love it! I was concerned at first because I have a small head and not the strongest neck. It’s lighter than expected and the adjustments make for a good fit regardless of head size.
Buying experience was good, got quite a bit of help from gray. This helmet is lighter than most but quite heavy if you’re not use to wearing a ballistic helmet. Very easy to adjust with their four point strap system, chin strap wasn’t quite the right fit for me but everyone has a different chin so experience may vary. Delivery of the helmet was received in a big black bag but the helmet itself received some slight scratches which I suspect is because of the delivery/courier service.
