If you are left-handed, you can still use the ballistic shield for protection by flipping it over. The only downside to this method is that the protective shield may feel less balanced. Im not a police officer or survivalist. Im a level headed woman (approaching 60). I work with someone who is very much the opposite. I debated this purchase over time. I finally decided better safe than sorry. It would be better to regret spending the money and not need it than not to have it that one crucial time. This arrived in the time stated and is much better than I expected though I have nothing real life to compare it to. It is lightweight, streamlined and surprisingly easy to grab and handle . I hope I never need it but by the online tests and in person feel, it seems worth the money. I wish every police officer could have one. As with the other review, the chemical smell is loud, noticeably bad and fills a room. You’d be hard pressed to store it inside straight out of the box. I have it outside and hope it dissipates. You’d be well served to get a plan to air them out in your plant. I almost gave it 4 stars due to the smell, Im trusting that will fade as you say so I gave it the 5 it deserves in all other ways.
Our department didn’t have any shields. None. I’m not sure if I’d ever use one, but I sure do hate knocking on doors. One day this thing showed up. I was really happy to see it, so I came here to write to say thanks. I guess we could never afford one, but now that you brought out this one, we have something to protect us. I still don’t like knocking on doors, but society needs someone brave enough to do it.
